Machine Binding
Bring in your quilt top and get it bound! We will teach you step by step how to bind your quilt with your machine. Class will include how to trim your quilt, how to prepare your binding, sew your binding to your quilt, and top-stitch your binding for a neat, clean finish. | Requirements: | Have your binding cut before class. Cut 2 1/2 inch strips, width of fabric. Some people prefer 2 1/4 inch strips for a narrower binding. That's ok too if you prefer. Have enough strips cut to go around your quilt plus one extra strip. Bring all the feet you have. If you do not have an integrated dual feed on your machine, be sure to bring a walking foot. Feel free to bring sack lunch or snacks. |
