Machine Quilting on Your Domestic Machine



You will learn how to manage quilting your quilt on your domestic sewing machine using straight line quilting as well as free motion quilting.  Judy will show you several different ideas and you will be practicing on fabric sandwiches that we provide for you.   You will need a sewing machine in good working order with the ability to drop your feed dogs.  Bring your instruction manual that came with your machine to class with you.   You will also need a walking foot, free motion or open toe foot for your machine and thread for your machine.
Bring sketch pad or paper and pencils to practice.

Materials Included: quilt sandwiches
Requirements: Sketch pad (or paper) and pencil, Sewing machine with darning/quilting/free-motion foot, walking foot, top stitch needle - size 80 op 90, chalk or water soluble marking tool, thread, general sewing supplies, extension table (like a Sew Steady table) for your sewing machine if you have one.
